Every mid-April, Human Resources will e-mail the personal information and current employment roster to foreign teachers for further confirmation. Faculty members who are continuing employment at MCU should provide a photocopy of passport, a photocopy of alien resident certificate, one passport-size photo, a photocopy of withholding and non-withholding tax statement, and a photocopy of tax receipt for previous year (or tax payment proof) by mid-May. After the review of MCU department-level faculty hiring and promotion committee, the abovementioned documents and foreign faculty roster with the signature of department director should be submitted to Human Resources. Then, all required documents will be sent to Council of Labor Affairs for extension of work permit as soon as MCU University Faculty Hiring and Promotion Committee has completed the review procedure. Human Resources will transfer the work permit certificate issued by Council of Labor Affairs to foreign teachers so that they are able to apply for extension of alien resident certificate at National Immigration Agency.
